CEO
Neil founded Skin Analytics in 2012 with a vision to create a future where no one dies of skin cancer.Having grown up in Australia, he saw how vital early skin cancer detection is, building the company from an idea into the world’s first autonomous AI for cancer detection, trusted by patients, health systems and insurers worldwide.
Neil is a fellow at the NHS National Innovation Accelerator and formerly a Director at the GSMA, where he was responsible for supporting the creation of the mobile banking industry. He started his career as a consultant, working on various strategy and technology consulting projects for large blue-chip clients such as Vodafone, British Telecom and Virgin Media.
Neil received an Executive MBA in Entrepreneurship from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematical Sciences from The University of Western Australia.

Jack joined Skin Analytics having worked in computer vision and machine learning in both industry and academia for many years. He holds an MEng in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Sussex and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Bristol.

Dan is a practicing GP who has experience working within the AI & Digital Health settings. He sees the adoption of digital health technologies as key in helping healthcare services to evolve to offering support & efficiency improvements and optimise patient experience. Dan holds degrees in Medicine (BMBS) and Biomedical Sciences (BMedSci) from the University of Nottingham.

Jim has been working in technology for the last 20 years and is an experienced software engineer and technical architect. He joined the Skin Analytics team after a 10 year position as CTO of a digital agency in London. Jim has experience of building and scaling technology focused start-up businesses as well as previous experience in medical technology. Jim holds a BSc in Information Systems.

James has over 12 years experience in medical device regulatory and quality affairs with large and small medtech companies across multiple geographies, including UK, USA and Japan. He has a keen interest in software as a medical device and is excited about the future of AI in medical applications.
Clinical Research Director
Helen has 17 years of clinical research experience in both corporate and academic settings delivering clinical trials and data generation. She has authored seven peer-reviewed journals. Helen has a PhD in medical microbiology from Leeds University.

Dominic is an experienced healthcare chair and advisor, currently working on the adoption of new health technologies. He recently co-chaired the innovation working group of the UK Government’s Life Sciences Industrial Strategy.
He has served as chair of UCLPartners, the health innovation partnership, and of two NHS trusts: The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.
Entrepreneur and Business Angel
Juan spent 9 years working in software development at companies in Argentina and Spain and developed an anti virus in his free time. In 1995, he started Media Net Software and sold the company after 20 years while it was employing 200+ engineers in Spain, Mexico and the USA. From 1998 to 2004 Juan managed the digitizing projects for Diario El País and Diario El Mundo through a corporate venture we created ad-hoc, where they hired a team of 70+ professionals.
He is Current owner of Evoluciona, a digital interactive agency. He was the CEO from 2005 to 2013 and saw the company grow to work with blue chip companies such as Microsoft, BBVA, Acciona, RTVE, FOX or El Corte Inglés. In 2005 he co-founded BuyVIP with two other partners. This e-commerce site grew to 100+ employees in five years and was operating in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Poland and The Netherlands. BuyVIP was sold to Amazon in 2010. In 2009 Juan co-founded Tech on Rails, an engineering services company specialized in high-speed trains and aeronautics.
Juan is an investor, advisor and/or board member at several companies and is always open to new opportunities where business strategy, processes or technology can be applied to move companies to the next stage.

Dr Mark Machin is Founder and Managing Partner of Intrepid Growth Partners. He is also Co-Founder and Vice Chair of Opto Investments. Mark is also a member of GIC’s International Advisory Board and Non-Executive Director of CVC Capital and Chair of the Remuneration Committee.
From 2016 to 2021, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of CPP Investments. He joined CPP Investments in 2012 and was Senior Managing Director and Head of International based in Hong Kong. Prior, Dr Machin had a 20-year career at Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong, where for 11 years, he headed Capital Markets and Investment Banking in Asia ex-Japan. He is an advisor to a number of technology funds and AI-related companies, is a Strategic Advisor to FCLTGlobal and OMNIYAT Group and is also on the board of the Atlantic Council.
Dr Machin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Cambridge University.

He currently represents Hoxton on the boards of Biotx, Fy!, Giraffe360, Kbox Global, Raptor Supplies, Skin Analytics, SOC.OS, TourRadar, XYZ Reality and Yieldify, and serves as a board observer on Behavox, Darktrace, Finesse, Karakuri, Loveshark, Panakeia and Vidya Health. He previously served on the boards of Babylon Health, bd4travel (acquired by Dnata), Campanja (acquired by 24/7 Media) and Deliveroo.
Hussein also serves on the board of Tech Nation. He also sits on the advisory board of GTO Partners, a tech mid-market buyout firm, and Landscape, a venture capital review site. While forming Hoxton, he helped Eros STX Global develop ErosNow, an online streaming video platform for Bollywood.
Prior to Hoxton, Hussein was an associate with Accel Partners. He joined Accel from Microsoft Corporation. Earlier in his career, he worked with three startups, Safe-View (acquired by L-3), Radiance Technologies (acquired by Comcast) and Studio Verso (acquired by KPMG).
Hussein holds an MBA from London Business School and did his undergraduate studies in Symbolic Systems at Stanford University.
Primary Care Medical Service Director
Scott is a qualified specialist in medical leadership and management (FRACMA), a graduate of the AICD, a specialist public health physician (FAFPHM), while remaining a clinician with specialist standing as a general practitioner in rural practice. He has experience in health and education corporate governance and leadership in the private sector, public sector, higher education sector, international and Australian biotech sectors and in the military. His on-going research and experience have been in addressing health issues of developing nations, rural health and workforce, and particularly preventive approaches to public health challenges.
Consultant Dermatologist
Niall qualified in Medicine from the University of Liverpool in 1991. He has been an NHS Consultant Dermatologist since 2000. He has special interests in skin cancer, hyperhidrosis and skin disorders in immunosuppressed patients. He has also been involved with postgraduate education for many years and is currently vice chair of the Specialist Advisory Committee for Dermatology, which oversees Dermatology training in the UK.
Consultant Dermatologist
Dr Lucy Thomas MPharm MBChB MRCP UK (Dermatology) qualified from the University of Birmingham with a first-class honours medical degree. She works as an NHS Consultant Dermatologist at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital where she carries out general and complex medical dermatology clinics as well as skin surgery.
Lucy has a passion for innovation and digital technologies and has attended the Exponential Medicine course run by Singularity University in San Diego. She has helped to establish a successful teledermatology service for urgent two week wait referrals at Chelsea & Westminster hospital which has now managed over 3000 patients, the results of which she has presented nationally on multiple occasions.
Health Economics
Chris is a professor of Public Health and Clinical Epidemiology at Exeter University. He is a School lead for research on test evaluation including systematic reviews, economic models and primary research. He leads the Exeter Test Group and is the diagnostics theme lead for PenCLAHRC. He is part of the Peninsula Technology Assessment Group (PenTAG). He directed the team delivering health technology assessments for national policy-making bodies, particularly NICE, from 2009 until 2015 and continues to support it by being the lead on HTAs of tests and through membership of its steering group. He is a long standing member of NICE’s Diagnositc Advisory Committee and recently joined the National Screening Committee.
Clinical Professor, Dermatology Stanford University
Dr. Ko joined Stanford Medicine in 2012 and serves as Director and Chief of Medical Dermatology for Stanford Health Care (SHC) while also spearheading the dermatology department’s efforts around network development, digital health, quality/safety/performance improvement, and value-based care. He is active in a number of leadership roles within the organization including co-chairing the Clinic Advisory Council, a forum of medical and executive leaders of Stanford Health Care’s Ambulatory clinics, and as a Service Medical Director.
His passion for melanoma, early cancer detection, and improving care delivery drives his efforts and research around leveraging advances in machine learning and artifical intelligence to increase the breadth of populations that can be reached. He chairs the American Academy of Dermatology’s Task Force Committee on Augmented Intelligence.
