Skin Analytics has been fortunate to work with Digital Catapult as it launched its Machine Intelligence Garage (MIG) programme. The programme was designed to boost the development of machine intelligence startups in the UK by assisting to accelerate business growth for of AI companies.
We initially joined the Machine Intelligence Garage to access additional computation resources to better train and refine our custom designed AI models for skin cancer detection. Through Machine Intelligence Garage we have benefited from the AWS Activate for Startups programme which has allowed us to use the best available processing power for this task.
The time that we have spent with the folks at MIG has certainly been helpful for Jack, who heads up our AI research, as has the extra access to the AWS services which have allowed for more regular and rigorous AI training.
