Who can attend?
This event is open to resident doctors with an interest in AI and dermatology.
We also welcome submissions from resident doctors in related specialties, including (but not limited to):

For the purposes of this event, a resident doctor refers to any non-consultant grade doctor, in training or non-training roles.
Medical students and allied health professionals are welcome to attend but are not eligible to submit abstracts as presenting authors.

We invite resident doctors to submit abstracts for oral and ePoster presentation.
Submission Deadline: 18:00, Friday 30 May 2026
Notification of Acceptance: Friday 5 June 2026 (via email to the presenting author)
Abstract Format & Requirements
- Character limit: 1800 characters (including spaces)
- Limit excludes: title, authors, one figure/table, and up to 2 references
- Must include:
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Important Requirements
- No patient identifiable data
- Consider patient safety, equity, and governance where relevant
Judging Criteria
- Relevance to AI and dermatology
- Clarity of aim and methodology
- Strength of evaluation and results
- Novelty and learning value
- Consideration of patient safety, equity, and governance
Submission Categories
Please select the most appropriate category when submitting your abstract.
Category 1 — Service Evaluation (QIPs & Audits)
Service evaluations of AI-enabled dermatology services or teledermatology services (including non-AI teledermatology).
Required Structure:
- Introduction: clinical/service problem, standards used (for audits), clearly defined measurable aim
- Methods: setting, inclusion/exclusion criteria, data collection methods, time period; intervention (for QIPs)
- Results: quantitative findings where possible; demonstrated improvement or learning
- Conclusion: key findings and implications
Encouraged (QIPs):
- PDSA cycles
- Baseline vs post-intervention comparison
- Sustainability considerations
Category 2 — Education & Training in AI Dermatology
Educational initiatives related to AI in dermatology, including formal teaching sessions or structured programmes.
Required Structure:
- Introduction: educational need or gap; learning objectives
- Methods: teaching format, target audience, formal evaluation methods
- Results: quantitative or qualitative feedback
- Conclusion: reflections and future development plans
Mandatory Requirement:
Evidence of structured feedback or evaluation.
Category 3 — Patient Perceptions of AI in Dermatology
Work exploring patient views, experiences, or perceptions of AI in dermatology.
May Include:
- Patient surveys
- Interviews
- Focus groups
- Case studies
- Thematic analysis
Required Structure:
- Introduction: rationale for exploring patient perspectives
- Methods: survey/interview design and sampling
- Results: participant numbers and key findings
- Conclusion: implementation implications
Mandatory Requirement:
Appropriate information governance (e.g. patient consent) must be stated.
