We’re so proud to announce another NHS partnership and this time at Dorset County Hospital!
With extremely limited dermatology capacity resulting in all Trust resources consumed by efforts to meet FDS targets, this AI powered pathway will remove the need to see patients with benign lesions face-to-face and reserve Dorset County Hospital’s dermatology capacity for patients with skin cancer.
This is achieved by leveraging our AI medical device, DERM.
DERM can assess an image of a skin lesion and then classify its type within seconds; it is trained to classify 11 different lesion types including the most common malignant, pre-malignant and benign skin lesions.
DERM is currently in use by 14 NHS trusts and primary care providers across England, and we’re thrilled to add to this number as DCH joins the Skin Analytics family. But more than this, DCH provides care to a population of approximately 300,000 people so it’s incredible to enable faster access to skin cancer diagnosis for even more patients.
Thank you to everyone who made this partnership possible. Together, we can build a world where no one dies from skin cancer.
