Proud to partner with University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust
As is the case for many trusts across the UK, University Hospitals Dorset have been experiencing challenges with dermatology capacity and are pressured to keep up with rising urgent suspected skin cancer referrals.
By leveraging our AI medical device, DERM, within UHD’s post-referral pathway, we will look to address the gap between demand and capacity so the Trust’s dermatologists can spend precious time on patients who need them most.
Consultant Dermatologist, Dr Alice Plant, who has been working closely on the project commented, “Here at UHD, the Dermatology team is always looking for innovative ways to approach demand and improve patient outcomes so I’m really motivated by our partnership with Skin Analytics. I am eager to see the impact AI can have on our teledermatology service in helping us achieve timely diagnosis and treatment for our patients, which will have a knock on effect throughout our service.”
With UHD providing care to approximately 800,000 people, we’re proud to help even more patients and play a key role in speeding up their access to a skin cancer diagnosis and where necessary, treatment.
We love the dedication shown to this partnership and for better skin cancer care.
